Purchased the book for use with my Sunday School class (ages ). Each page ends with "There's always room for a little one here". When I read each page to the class, the children said that last line in unison (without any suggestion from me).

They even figured out that the most important "little one" to share space in the stable was baby Jesus/5(). Room for a Little One is a new unique version of Jesus being born from the perspective of the animals.

This is very interesting to me. the small words and easy to understand plot makes this a great book for children to read for Christmas/5. An adorable little board book filled with all the joys of Christmas-time—Christmas trees, treats, Santa's visit, and more.

A fantastic addition to your little one's Christmas stocking, its handy size and handle make it easy for little ones to carry /5(22). Room is a novel by Irish-Canadian author Emma story is told from the perspective of a five-year-old boy, Jack, who is being held captive in a small room along with his mother.

Donoghue conceived the story after hearing about five-year-old Felix in the Fritzl case, and a court case in which a Pennsylvania woman held her children captive for eight Author: Emma Donoghue.

Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic five-year-old Jack, Room is a celebration of resilience and the limitless bond between parent and child, a brilliantly executed novel about what it means to journey from one world to another. Directed by Norman Taurog. With Cary Grant, Betsy Drake, Lurene Tuttle, Randy Stuart. A fairly well-to-do family takes in two troubled orphans/10(K). There are few books in the world literature legacy that equally satisfy the tastes of both children and adults.

One of the first masterpieces that come to mind is probably The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This charming story takes the reader on an engaging trip all over the universe; a trip that results in fascinating discoveries and helps to realize true values. Room is a independent drama film directed by Lenny Abrahamson and written by Emma Donoghue, based on her novel of the same stars Brie Larson as a woman who has been held captive for seven years and whose 5-year-old son (Jacob Tremblay) was born in escape allows the boy to experience the outside world for the first timeMusic by: Stephen Rennicks.

Audrey Niffenegger, author of The Time Traveler's Wife and Her Fearful Symmetry Emma Donoghue's writing is superb alchemy, changing innocence into horror and horror into tenderness. Room is a book to read in one sitting.

When it's over you look up: the world looks the same but you are somehow different and that feeling lingers for days. Today no one knows exactly where Little Ease was located. One theory: in the dungeon of the White Tower. Another: in the basement of the old Flint Tower.

No visitor sees it today; it was torn down or walled up long ago. Besides Little Ease, the most-used devices were the rack, the manacles, and a horrific creation called the Scavenger’s.

The Little Paris Bookshop is a book whose palette, textures, and aromas will draw you in and cradle you in the redemptive power of love.”—Charlie Lovett, author of The Bookman’s Tale "Nina George tells us clever things about love, about reading that 'puts a bounce in your step,' about tango in Provence, and about truly good food/5(62).

As I read the book, it wasn't the Fritzl case that echoed through my head, but a couplet from John Donne's The Good Morrow: "For love all love of other sights controls,/ And makes one little room.
